Sung Wook Kooh concentrates his practice on mechanical and electrical engineering, including computer science, software, telecommunications, display devices, medical devices, fuel cell batteries, semiconductor devices, nanotechnologies, and optical devices.
As a Korean patent attorney, prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kooh practiced for more than thirteen years at Samsung Electronics managing the IP prosecution team, where he oversaw patent prosecution in the United States and Korea, patent portfolio management and strategy development worldwide, patent infringement/validity analysis, licensing negotiations, patent maps, design-around, enrolling patents in standard patent pools, buying patents, and IP due diligence.
