2024 Corporate IP Institute
Jeff Waters will attend The 2024 Annual Corporate IP Institute, presented by the Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance and the Atlanta Bar Association Intellectual Property Law Section. This collaboration is for the educational benefit of corporations interested in maximizing the value of their intellectual property assets. The annual two-day annual event is to be held at the Georgia State University Knowles Conference Center, October 29-30, 2024, and features a Keynote Fireside Chat with Elizabeth Doughetry, Director of the USPTO Northeast Regional Outreach Office.
Jeff is Partner in Charge of the Atlanta Office and Chair and Computer Science Practice. He concentrates his practice on drafting and prosecuting patents for mechanical and electrical innovations. In particular, he has experience with patent issues relating to artificial intelligence, GPS, Internet and e-commerce, semiconductor devices and processing methods, and telecommunications. While Jeff’s practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution, Jeff also has experience in conducting due diligence investigations, drafting noninfringement and invalidity opinions, and working with client product design teams to navigate potential infringement risks and realize maximum value.
The Corporate IP Institute, held since 2007, provides a singular forum for in-house IP professionals to discuss issues they face, exchange ideas, and network locally and nationally. The CIPI speakers come from corporations large and small, national and international organizations, academia and the bar.
