Cantor Colburn partners and former in-house IP counsel Karl Barr and Karl Vick will be panelists on a webinar, "Plan, Don't Panic! Effectively Managing Your Patent Portfolio," on May 7, at 9 AM EDT. The webinar on effective portfolio management is presented by Novagraaf. Cedric Gaspoz, Managing Director IP Services Patent, and Maxime Goeman, Renewals & Support Services Manager, at Novagraaf will join Karl Barr and Karl Vick in a discussion of portfolio alignment, budget management, technology solutions and best practice tips for remotely managing portfolios.
Karl Barr concentrates his practice on patent preparation, prosecution, complex intellectual property transactions, business counseling, monetization, licensing and sale as well as advanced development, assessment and acquisition of new technologies, and technology property rights. Karl was Intellectual Property Counsel at General Motors Corporation prior to joining Cantor Colburn.
Karl Vick has more than 20 years of experience representing clients in the global procurement, strategic planning, litigation and licensing of IP assets. Karl was the Chief IP Counsel for Raytheon and the SVP & Chief IP Counsel for Cardinal Health. In his corporate roles, Karl integrated strategic IP management processes into existing business processes, developed processes to better identify high value innovations that support business objectives, and applied Six Sigma to various law functions. Karl has provided IP counsel in a wide range of industries and technologies, including general electronics, automobiles, healthcare, satellites, telecommunications, electromechanical controls, power generation and control, appliances and lighting.
