#1 Corporate Team at Light the Night 2019
Cantor Colburn's corporate team was #1 for fundraising at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Light the Night Walk on October 17, 2019 in Bushnell Park, Hartford. More than $8,000 was raised during a two month workplace campaign led by LLS Board Member Nicholas Herrel, Ph.D. Esq.
At the firm's kick-off event, Nick said: "Imagine hearing the words, 'you have cancer.' Think of how your world would change, how dark and scary that moment must feel. Many families face this emotionally devastating reality as half of all men and one-third of all woman are diagnosed with blood cancer. At the Light the Night Walk, we celebrate our accomplishments to fight cancer through cutting-edge research."
Before he was a patent attorney, Nick, who has a Ph.D. in microbiology, researched cancer.
"Funds for this important cause will make a real impact in the fight against cancer and our local community. It’s fun, it’s easy, and your contribution makes a real difference."
